• technical University degree (Bachelor in Electronic or Electrical Engineering as an advantage),
• good understanding of manufacturing mechanical and electrical systems, experienced in product development and life cycle management,
• experienced in working with databases, preferably xDM Mentor, Teamcenter and SAP,
• content knowledge of components to be managed (fasteners and electronic modules)
• previous experience in dealing with internal customers,
• fluent English (oral and verbal),
• process driven and result oriented professional.

We are currently looking for a Development Engineer - Components to join the Product Development Team located in Kętrzyn. Your challenge will be to manage the fasteners and electronic modules component portfolio in Professional Europe organization by ensuring that new components are timely released and the design-in guidelines are available, ensuring safe and functional usage in all products. You will also advise project teams in cost, technical specification and parts availability as well as support bridging different interests of the Development, Procurement, Commodity and Supply Chain Teams. Your responsibilities:

• manage the component portfolio, supported by a multi-disciplinary team. Ensure component portfolio rationalization,
• maintain the database of the assigned commodity,
• support engineers in finding the appropriate standard components fitting their needs and in solving technical & quality issues related to the usage of a standard component,
• provide alternatives for requested new components where possible,
• create new standard components if needed,
• document design-in / qualification / release / safety reports of all standard components, making them available for all users,
• propose changes in components based on various inputs (for instance. development, suppliers and commodity teams),
• communicate issues (e.g. safety, quality, functionality) found in the usage of a certain component to all users until a solution is implemented,
• scout for new technologies using the product roadmaps as input.
