Wanted! System Engineer for Base Station to join our team in the biggest telecommunications Technology Center in Poland. - Do you have an experience in software development and/or design? - Do you know how to model the software behavior? - Do you want to bring your ideas into living system? - Are you willing to relocate to Wrocław or live near by? For Nokia Siemens Networks Wroclaw Technology Center we are looking for motivated software (SW) designers for the embedded software projects within the domain of telecommunications. You will be developing Base Station (BTS) functionalities for the latest mobile communication technologies like UMTS and LTE.

Wymagania:
  • Wide knowledge within mobile network technologies WCDMA/I-HSPA and/or LTE (focus on transport part);
  • Experience in IP Network Engineering;
  • Detailed knowledge of architecture and protocols of mobile access and transport systems;
  • Experience in routing protocols (OSPF), transport technologies (Ethernet, IP/IPSec, IPv6, VPN, MPLS) and configuration aspects;
  • Configuration knowledge/experience with routers/switches/multilayer devices;
  • B.Sc or M.Sc in telecommunication, physics or equivalent;
  • Presentation and communication skills;
  • Fluent written and spoken English skills (Polish desirable);
  • Initiative, motivation, sense of responsibility and commitment to performed tasks;
Obowiązki: On this position you will be responsible for ensuring high quality of mobile network design by:
  • Invention of dimensioning/configuration rules for WCDMA/iHSPA and/or LTE networks with focus on IP based transport interfaces, mobile backhaul and network elements;
  • Study on the impact of new features on the capacity, performance and quality of the network;
  • ·On-site support for running networks, trials and roll-outs in various areas of the globe;
  • Optimization of running networks through analysis of system parameters and their impact on transport network performance;
  • Specification of dimensioning and load tools for automated network dimensioning and configuration;
  • Delivery of trainings and 2nd line support towards customer teams, presenting and discussing your own research results;
  • Analysis and verification of real network behaviour based on live network statistics and lab feedback.
